NOTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORKS M69 Southbound - M1 Junction 21 to M69 Junction 1

I'm writing to let you know that we'll be carrying out essential maintenance works on the M69 Southbound - M1 Junction 21 to M69 Junction 1. . During our scheme of work, we'll carry out;

• Carriageway resurfacing including sections of hard shoulder in a southbound direction.

• Refreshing of white lining and road studs on the southbound carriageway from M69 Junction 2 to Junction 1.

When will the work take place? Work is due to start on 15th July 2024 and is scheduled for completion by mid October 2024. Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

How will the work affect traffic? To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, residents, businesses and road users, we will be working under a full southbound carriageway closure including slip roads.

Closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday. Some weekend working may be required and will be advised once programme has been confirmed. During these closures fully signed diversion routes will be in place, which have been agreed with the Local Authority. How will the work affect businesses and residents?

We will make sure that access to businesses and residences is maintained wherever possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will do our very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
